Redoute’s Choice (AUS) – Azmiyna (IRE)
- Description
Description
The spectacular star of his generation, the 5-time G1 winner at two & three, the best racing colt by Redoute’s Choice, and now the sire of G1 winners Autumn Angel, Coco Sun & Vibrant Sun and rising stars Autumn Glow, Autumn Boy & Know Thyself.
An inspired merger of the late HH The Aga Khan’s finest work with Australia’s best, The Autumn Sun was by turns brilliant, dominant, astonishing & heroic on the racetrack.
At stud breeders have backed him with almost 700 mares in his first five books. He has already justified their belief in him.
The Autumn Sun’s first crop includes 10 stakes performers: Group 1 Oaks winners Autumn Angel & Vibrant Sun, Group 1 Derby winner Coco Sun, dual Group winner Autumn Ballet, Group 1-placed Private Legacy, Tulsi & Tutta La Vita, millionaire & Group 3 performer Know Thyself and stakes-placed Kosgei & The Autumn Belle.
His next two crops are headed by Easter sale-topper Autumn Glow – now a dual Group winner and one of the most exciting horses in Australia – and the unbeaten 2YO stakeswinner Autumn Boy.
The Autumn Sun’s 25 yearlings sold at major sales in 2025 averaged $309,000, and 4 of of his daughters have sold out of training for 7-figure sums: Coco Sun ($1.2 million), Autumn Angel ($1.225 million), Autumn Ballet ($1.6 million) & Tutta La Vita ($3.2 million).
And a trio of talented sons, Sky Jewellery, Gold Master & Another Zonda have opened up the lucrative Hong Kong market with 8 victories in 2024/25.
His progeny are racing from Australia’s best stables, including that of his own Champion trainer, Chris Waller, as well as Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott, Anthony & Sam Freedman, Tony & Calvin McEvoy, Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young, Kris Lees, Annabel & Rob Archibald, Ciaron Maher, John O’Shea & Tom Charlton, Peter Moody & Katherine Coleman, Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr, Gary Portelli, Tony Gollan, Ben, Will & JD Hayes, Bjorn Baker & Phillip Stokes.
