The good-looking Santos was a fast and precocious juvenile trained by the all-conquering Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott stable.
Santos is off to a great start at stud with G1 Sistema Stakes winner ULANOVA and Listed winner WEST OF DALBY. He has had four runners in NZ for three winners including the very promising PLATINUM ATTACK.
A winner at the early Spring 2YO trials, Santos made his debut with a solid third in the Listed ATC Breeders Plate.

Sire of SW Ulanova (Auckland TR Sistema S., Gr.1) and of Grand Sage, Sandual, Victory Win, Chop the Ice, West of Dalby and of the placegetters Exclusive Drop, I Eff Oh, Karakaroo, Khutos, Santastico, Santino, etc. His oldest progeny are 3YOs.
Commencing his autumn campaign with an easy victory in the $150,000 ATC Pierro Plate (1100m) at Randwick, he then booked his place in the G1 ATC Golden Slipper (1200m) with a tenacious win in the G2 ATC Skyline Stakes (1200m), a race which historically attracts a high-class field of colts and has been a great stallion-making race, won in the past by Snitzel, Choisir, Hinchinbrook and Manhattan Rain.
Bred by Emirates Park, Santos comes from one of their most successful families being a half-brother to Japanese G3 winner Melagrana from a half-sister to Group winners Mutawaajid, Adeewin and Fatoon, the dam of G1 ATC Epsom Handicap (1600m) winner Fat Al.
Completely free of Danehill blood, Santos has the good looks, natural speed and quality that are the hallmarks of his famous sire I Am Invincible.
His first crop of yearlings sold up to $150,000 and Ulanova was sold privately for $1.2 million!
